On 24. February the Albanian Network for Financial Education (ANFE) organised their first online meeting for 2021.

All meeting participants welcomed the participation of Ms. Luljeta Minxhozi, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Albania as well as the Country Director of Sparkassenstiftung Albania, Ms. Anja Deinzer.

During this virtual meeting the participants focused on important topics related to the role of Sparkassenstiftung Albania as well as its contribution to the Albanian Network for Financial Institutions and other activities related to financial education.

Another topic of interest was the process of drafting a National Strategy for Financial Education, which would enable the enhancement of financial education through the years as well as foster the positive consequences of improving financial inclusion in Albania.

An exciting and important outcome of this meeting was the announcement that Sparkassenstiftung has been appointed as a member of the ANFE, and has the best intention to contribute to and collaborate with ANFE on improving financial education and literacy in Albania.

The Bank of Albania and the Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority are engaged in starting the process of creating a National Strategy for Financial Education, involving all relevant stakeholders. 

Sparkassenstiftung Albania is pleased to be involved in such a foundational part of financial literacy in the country, and will put their knowledge and resources into assisting to make the Albanian National Strategy for Financial Education a strong and applicable tool to increase financial literacy and socio-economic well-being in the country.
