UniFin is a non-profit Financial Institution, which is owned by its members and aims to fulfil the financial needs of each, by providing the best possible access to financial products. UniFin has been active in the loans and deposits field since 1996, supporting farmers, traders, individuals, and different communities in Albania.
UniFin’s vision is being a responsible and dedicated institution towards its membership base as well as contributing to the economic development in Albania – especially in reducing poverty through the usage of financial instruments. UniFin cares about its members in rural areas, not only by enabling financial products, but also by engaging the members in training and education in compliance to their social mission.
We are proud to deepen our partnership with UniFin: On 12th of May we signed a project agreement with UniFin on institutional and staff capacity building. Hopefully, this will help UniFin to fulfill better both its vision and mission. On that day, we visited one of the UniFin branches in Durres City and two members of UniFin; Mr. Koni, an agriculture products exporter and service provider, as well as and UniFin Board Member, and Mr. Fiqiri Domi, a farmer who works around 10 ha. of land near Maminas, in Durres city, also financed by UniFin.
The signing, by the way, took part at Mr. Konis premises (Agro-Koni) next to a newly built high-end, fully automated greenhouse. German Sparkassenstiftung Albania and UniFin are sure that their cooperation will enable the financial institution to make a qualitative step forward improving the service for members both in urban and rural areas.
