Attendees from around the world will meet on a Zoom conference call to officially launch the Strengthening Financial Literacy in the Republic of Albania project. The workshop will introduce the new project, present the results of preceding studies and discuss insights.
Anja Deinzer, the Sparkassenstiftung Country Director for Albania and Sparkassenstiftung Regional Director for SEE (South East Europe) will introduce the new project in Albania outlining the project’s focus on financial education, capacity building for smallholders and rural entrepreneurs and support of the financial sector in developing adapted products and services.
Dr. Mihallaq Qirjo from Resource Environmental Center Albania will present his study on Rural Development and SMEs in Albania and later by education and human resource development consultant Dr. Pavel Utitz will present his findings on Stakeholder Needs Assessment for Strengthening Financial Literacy in Albania.
There will be an interactive co-creation session elaborating on recommendations for strengthening financial education and rural finance in Albania as well as a chance to make suggestions for cooperation partners and arrangements. This will be followed by a Q&A by panel of experts on questions related to the new project as well as the results of the two studies.
Other speakers will include Niclaus Bergmann, Managing Director of Sparkassenstiftung für internationale Kooperation e.V.; German Embassy, Dr. Judith Hoffmann, Head of Development Cooperation from the German Embassy in Albania, Ornela Kullolli, Head of Education Sector of the Financial Supervisory Authority of Albania; and a representative from the Central Bank of Albania.
